Conventional electrodes used in BMI include the Utah Array, Michigan Array, and the Duke microwire array, which have been used in most BMI work so far.

I compile here a list of unconventional electrodes that I come across.

  1. Multifunctional fibers for simultaneous optical, electrical and chemical interrogation of neural circuits in vivo - Polina Anikeeva, MIT

  2. Syringe-injectable electronics - Charles Lieber, Harvard

  3. Stent-electrode - Thomas Oxley, University of Melbourne.

Measures only LFP up to 200Hz.
